Through Participatory Budgeting in New York City (PBNYC), community members - like you - directly decide how to spend $1 million in your Council District.
PBNYC funds physical infrastructure projects that benefit the public, cost at least $50,000 and have a lifespan of at least 5 years. Local improvements to schools, parks, libraries, streets and other public spaces can be funded through this process.
If you have an idea to improve your community, check out the user manual and guidelines and share it on the map! Your ideas will be shared with volunteers, called "Budget Delegates." Budget Delegates then turn ideas into proposals to go on a ballot, with feedback and input from city agencies. Winning projects are determined through a district-wide vote next spring, from March 29th through April 6th.
The preview below shows the latest 10 activities.
