Idea Map - Submit and Explore Ideas

Anyone can post ideas.
Eligible ideas must be for “capital” projects. Capital projects are physical infrastructure improvements for public benefit, such as roadway resurfacing or minor renovations for schools. “Expense” projects, such as afterschool programming or expanding bus service, are not eligible.
Click on "Select Language" at the top right corner of the page to use the map in your preferred language.
There are two ways to submit an idea:
1. Using the Search Bar:
  On the upper left corner of the page, use the search bar to find the address where you want to pin your idea. Choose from the dropdown suggestions and ensure the address is within the boundaries of the highlighted participating council districts on the map. You will be navigated to the address location on the map. Verify that the pinpoint hovers over the desired location, or if you already know where the address is, you can manually zoom in on the map. Right-click on the map or the pinpoint you navigated to. A submission form will pop up, automatically capturing the idea's address. Fill in the required fields and click "Submit". The Council District in which the idea is located will consider it.
2. Using the "Submit My Idea" Button:
  Click the "Submit My Idea" button at the bottom of the page and complete the pop-up form. In the address field, make sure to select an address from the dropdown suggestion list, as it uses a unique format that helps us capture the exact location of your idea on the map. Also ensure the address is within the boundaries of the highlighted participating council districts on the map.
Click on the Idea Types filter buttons at the top of the map so you can filter ideas' pins on the map depending on their category and type. Click again on the same filter to uncheck it.
Click on Idea pins on the map for a pop-up tooltip that will provide you with all the information about that idea.
Click the arrow icon on the left side of the page to open a drawer containing cards of all submitted ideas.
Using the search bar inside the drawer, you can look for ideas by their name, description, council district number, or idea type. The search will filter ideas on both the idea cards and map pins. Additionally, you can sort the ideas by name in alphabetical order or by submission date by clicking on the sorting icons.
Click on an idea card in the drawer to navigate to its location on the map, where more information will be displayed.
The idea map will remain open for the duration of the cycle. Ideas collected through November will be considered for the current cycle.
